Lizzie Bartelt
New York, NY

Mere opened by saying we are probably wondering why there is a pair of boots on the podium. She said it is cold outside right now and our current contestant is walking around in an old pair of duct-tape boots.
Since Lizzie said she was playing for money to buy a new pair of boots, Meredith gave them to her so she would play for the million instead.
Lizzie put them on and turns in the shoes she was wearing. They call her new boots the "lucky boots"

I noticed the discussion in the other thread about Mere never wanted to admit the show was taped, so I made sure that comment made this transcript. At least they didn't bump this all the way to the end of the season. That would be funny to tape this comment in August with an intended date in the fall and then to air it in June. Maybe they would edit out the comment.

Add: Based on what 15QA posted in yesterday's transcript thread, it was taped some time after August.

Gee, Marley, you were willing to buy a couch for a previous contestant - you could have gotten off cheap with a pair of boots.

My thought was Mister Rogers. I don't know who Bob Ross is. I probably would have gone with "C" and left with the consolation prize (and the boots).

Sure you do, you just don't know you know it.

I made that offer in her first day's transcript thread, too.

Then TPTB had to match my offer in this episode!
