Happy Birthday, Mr. Evil Squirrel!
If you were on my deck, I would still want to eat you, even if you'd draw me pictures.
It's my nature...
It's my nature...
Secretly, I'm really royalty.

Oh, puh-leeze! You made her look much more ferocious than she is! Besides, she's never actually been outside since she got here--she just runs to all the doors and windows and chases the squirrels from safely behind glass! She's such a poser...
Happy Birthday, I suppose. I can't be bothered with small fry like squirrels. I'm here to chase away the raccoons!
(From safely behind glass, of course. I'm declawed and allergic to fleas...)
One day, I'll get even with them all...

I have indeed! I needed something to do while I waited for Sprots' birthday scritches!
How lucky am I, I didn't even need to change my avatar for today!
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
