Ooooh! A rare double leading of the audience! Was Dara's reasoning so much more persuasive than Ryan's?

So their bank was $8,100 and missing the question let them take home $10,000. They sure were risking a lot on that answer, weren't they?

Now can we bury this historical character gimmick?

On the Museum of Sex question, Dara said she never heard of it and expressed doubt that there is one. Mere assured them that all four are real museums. "Trust Me."
Would a regular contestant get that kind of help? (I know that kind of question has come up before)

Yes, I think that sort of clarification is routinely permissible. If the question isn't phrased something like "which of these isn't real?" then it's reasonable to assume all four choices are real (but only one answers the question).

It's true! They do this all the time. They're a little bit off, but I can't believe those long-ago surveyors came as close as they did.

OK, it's Marcia, Jan, and Cindy on the left, and Greg and the other two boys on the right, both oldest to youngest, and Mrs. Brady, Alice, and Mr. Brady in the middle, top to bottom. That means it can't be B, C, or D. A, final answer.

Actually it's only 1800 feet, not 2.5 miles: http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/INFO/fourcorners.shtml

They debated this one, and at one point Dara said she didn't think the Museum of Sex was a real museum, at which point Meredith informed them that they were all real museums. I wonder if she would have said that if a "real" contestant had been struggling with the question.

Alice is indeed in the "Paul Lynde" spot. As for the grid (sorry, I can't post images) it's:

Marsha Mrs. Brady Greg
Jan Alice Peter
Cindy Mr. Brady Bobby

The key is to remember that the girls are on the left in age order top to bottom, and the boys are on the right in the same order, leaving the adults to fill the middle.

We had pictures of our children at Four Courners but unfortunately they were lost in the house fire.

I strongly disagree and thought the extra information provided by Meredith was highly irregular. I don't recall ever seeing something like that happen before. This is not a game of 20 questions where they contestant gets to narrow the choices with additional queries. When I had to decide which glowing vegetable was genetically altered by scientists in England, I was not allowed to ask whether glowing cabbages, carrots, tomatoes and potatoes all actually exist. So no, I don't think a regular contestant would get this kind of extra help.
