Graceful isn't in my vocabulary

#1 Post by kayrharris » Sat May 12, 2012 7:30 pm

as I just fell down the 3 brick steps leading from the garage to the house. I don't what happened exactly, although it seems as though my right leg sort of gave way and I managed to splatter myself on the concrete floor at the bottom of the steps.
It really scared me and I could have easily broken a leg. At the moment, just the very top of my left knee is smarting a bit.
Hope I didn't undo any of the knee repair I've done……

sigh…

On the other hand, TAH, who just had total shoulder replacement Tuesday and was just released from the hospital yesterday, managed to get in his car, drive to his office and work from 9 - 2:30. His company had a function tonight as well he attended and he is at his restaurant now checking on a special function that has it closed to the public and they renting the entire facility.

Guess he'll find out tomorrow if he overdid it!

Ouch! Glad you're OK!

One of my college pals was out of commission for volleyball and skiing for three months because she fell off her back porch. You did good to minimize the damage.

Graceful is most definitely in your vocabulary.

Misjudgement, however, could be lacking

I think I like the beanbag chair visual better. I thought it looked more like she was laying in a nest....

Speaking of, I got a crossword puzzle clue thanks to you last night. "Great blue" animal (five letters)....

So my left knee is killing me today and kept me up most of the night. Just a small bruise that I can see, but boy howdy is it sore when I move. Looks like I will be calling my ortho doctor in the morning, just to be sure it's not anything serious.

Take care of you, Kay! Glad your hubby is doing well. It's amazing what they can do with surgery/recovery these days. My nephew had a lung and two ribs removed on the first of May, and was out of the hospital on the 6th. Crazy.

I am glad that you seem to have survived the tumble without lasting damage. You have to be careful though. One of our asst. superintendents broke her foot stepping off a one brick high ledge.
