Rosemarie is more worried about Meredith than about the questions. She's noticed that when someone is doing really well, she points that out to them.

Meredith: Sure, it makes them feel good, and--

Rosemarie: Yeah, it's kind of like when someone is pitching a no hitter; you're not really supposed to talk about it a lot.

Meredith: So, if you're doing well, you want me to keep my mouth shut? Is that what you're saying?

My TV station goofed up with today's show. Just before she was gonna answer the $500 question, they decided to run a commercial for Comcast cable TV. They cut back in just as the $1K question came up.

I also for some reason (the TV station again) missed the $16K. I wouldn't have needed help here, having seen many promos for this show.

OK up to $50K. The first one I had no idea on, I'd ATA first to see what I would get, then 50/50.

I knew the STQ, having taken a course in Greek mythology in high school
I'm just a game show nerd.

If you have ever seen Disney's "Hercules", then that last question is pretty easy. :)

Long Island, so our first WE® in about two weeks.

$16K: I don't watch this show, so ATNYA.

$50K: I sang the lyrics to the song in my head, but the only one I could safely eliminate was Carole King. This could be Googleable, but I better switch instead.

$50K #2: Great switch for me!

I'd be going for $100,000 with PAF and 50:50 left.

The local station rejoined the show at this point, even though from what I could see while fast forwarding the news conference wasn't over yet. I guess someone figured he wasn't saying anything important.

No idea, so it's time for me to ATA and hope the audience has watched it.

I know it's not C or D, and since I've already used my 50/50 I can either PAF or STQ. Let's pretend I did the STQ.

Finally, Meredith says something closer to what I'm thinking!

But she did get to $25K and I'm glad to see an older contestant, even if she is a WE.

You arrived at the right answer, but your reasoning was not quite right.

B: I am an absolute carnivore, but I'm sure many would argue that vegetarian lasagna is just as classic as meat lasagna. I believe it is the wide noodles and, especially, the layers that go into it that make it lasagna.

C: Fettucini refers only to the ribbonlike noodle and has nothing to do with tomatoes. It is the style (Alfredo) which rules out tomatoes, as it is creamy, buttery, cheesy and definitely white-ish.

elwing prepares a dish that we call "lasagna" although it is only noodles, mozzarella, riccotta and spaghetti sauce, and it's anything but "classic". Still you do have a point, although I suspect lasagna with meat has been around a lot longer than the new-fangled veggie style.

As to the fettucini, I should have said what you said - the alfredo is what disqualifies it from being the right answer. But, hey, however you get the answer, right?
