Last year, Japan changed the name of Iwo Jima back to its prewar name, Iwo To. Both names mean Sulfur Island.

Never heard of B or D, and IIRC Hicks won in 2007 so wouldn't have been doing the music. That leaves only B. But in the HS I probably would have used ATA, not being sure enough of my reasoning.

Iwo Jima is a volcanic island, I believe. I'd have gone with B without hesitation.

Iwo Jima is a volcanic island, I believe. I'd have gone with B without hesitation.
I think it is volcanic, but that would still have left Fire Island as a logic distractor. This question was undervalued, IMHO. I've seen both of the recent movies about Iwo Jima and I don't believe either bothered to mention the translation.
