R.I.P. The Iron (No, not Thatcher)

#1 Post by MarkBarrett » Thu Feb 07, 2013 9:54 am

The Monopoly token of the iron has been voted out. The new token replacing it will be a cat.

I voted to save the hat and to vote in the robot.

Seems only fair that a cat got chosen. There has been a dog for a very long time

Why not a cell phone, ipod, tv, ipad, plane, skate board, snow board?

I don't get why a cat was in the finals.

The media are such sheep. Hasbro marketing created a pointless non-event and every major national news outlet couldn't get enough of it, breathlessly parroting every press release with countless millions of dollars of free publicity. I wonder what real news didn't get reported in order to make room for stories about the new cat token.

Here's more toy marketing "news" for the media to regurgitate:

Like what Lindsay Lohan's doing, or who Taylor Swift broke up with this week?
