World Series

#1 Post by kayrharris » Wed Oct 24, 2007 7:29 pm

I told myself I wasn't interested. I even fell asleep during the pregame, disgusted at the amount of commercials. I swear it was more than the Super Bowl. I am sick to death of Fox pushing the shows coming up on their network!

Other than that, it was a great first inning. I didn't see any of the American League playoff games, but that was some pitching by Beckett. I was impressed. Then I felt terrible for Francis but maybe he has settled down a bit.

I am now watching with no sound. The broadcasters are driving me nuts.

Too bad about that rain stuff.

The rain is looking worse, although it looks like they are trying to play through it. We'll see.

Kay, see if you can find a radio station carrying the national broadcast. Much better announcers.

And yes, they're playing through the rain. I think it's lighter than it looks, though still annoying. I'm about 20 miles north of the city, and we have nothing at all up this way.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

That was grim.

That's it for me -- good night all and hoping for a better day tomorrow.

LOL - Grim?

That is the understatement for the over night.

Grim doesn't quite describe it, does it? What bothers me is that the Rockies had to wait 8 days before playing - some reward for dispatching your NL rivals in a short time.
