TPTB don't cast too many senior citizens, so I'm rooting for Chris to do well today. She thinks the questions out and she obviously keeps up with the news, not letting herself get spooked by the subprime crisis question.

Show all the youngsters how to play the game, Chris!

Of course I already know what happened. Don't read the spoiler if you don't wanna know.
Spoiler
$8000 q was about the rapper Flavor Flav.. She'd already used her ATA on $4k. She knew 50/50 wouldn't help, so she phoned her daughter. Daughter wasn't real sure, but gave an answer. Ended up using 50/50 anyway. After agonizing, decided to go for it since daughter's choice was still there. Nightmare of a question for someone her age.

No guess on $16K, so she left with $8K.

She's in good shape, and I would have been also. Nihil obstat®.
