100 - Alice in Brooklyn.

200 - Whale

300 - Centrifugal force is pizza.

500 - Fee, fee, fi, fi, fo, fo, fum. I smell smoke in the auditorium.

and on up to 50 K.

50-50 has a 50% chance of getting the answer straight off, since, whatever else, twerent McKinley.50

50K - Sinatra. All or nothing at all....

100K - Clearly orientally inspired although has too many syllables for haiku. The poet among those with interest in Japanse writing is Pound.

. So, POUnd.

$4K: I'm out already. I thought it was "plane flying solo". Evil distractor.

Too bad, cuz I would've gotten the rest of these questions right.

Dang. Another golden opportunity gone. Haven't updated this, but would have before my appearance. CUE THE MUSIC!!

Regis In The Chair With Questions
by gsabc with assistance by needel (Thanks, Robyn!)
(apologies this time to McCartney and Lennon, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds")

Picture yourself in New York on a game show,
Your efforts the focus of millions of eyes.
Seated before you by a screen with the questions
The man with the shirt-matching ties

Audience members in seats up above,
Waiting for their chance to play
Ask them a question, but then are they right?
Are they wrong?

Regis in the chair with questions
Regis on the air with questions
Regis with his fifteen questions
Ahhhhhhhhh…

Have a fast finger, then you're in the hot seat
With questions before you and answers are four.
Regis he questions, you answer quite slowly
And now you have more than before.

Higher you go and the questions are hard,
Lifelines are wasting away.
Don't make a choice unless you're very sure
Or you're gone.

Regis in the chair with questions
Regis on the air with questions
Regis with his fifteen questions
Ahhhhhhhhh…

Picture yourself with confetti around you.
You got all the questions. And slowly you rise,
Hardly believing, you reach out to shake hands
With the man with the shirt-matching ties.

Regis in the chair with questions
Regis on the air with questions
Regis with his fifteen questions
(fade out)
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Well, it's a fairly novel hook at least, and he's not a WE®.

I wonder if he just blanked or didn't know it at all. It's a shame he had to burn the lifeline because he'll need it later.

A classic example of "When PAF Calls Go Bad". Why didn't Peter just use the presidents' last names? As for me I was torn between either Roosevelt or Grant, so I'd have tried the 50/50 to see what was left. If it was A and C it would be time to PAF.

A shame I wouldn't have seen this question, because I'd have been able to answer it without lifelines.

Bravo for his courage in going for it. I also had no idea, but since I still have at least the STQ remaining, I burn it here.
