Transcript 09/13/16 - second slot - Rick Beltaire

#1 Post by BBTranscriptTeam » Tue Dec 27, 2016 9:47 pm

Rick Beltaire
Pittsfield, MA

(first run in first slot on 12/27/16 after a second slot airing on 9/13/16)

At $100K with no lifelines remaining

$250K :
While Marilyn Monroe’s version was more famous, who sang “Happy Birthday” to JFK for his 46th and final birthday, at the Waldorf-Astoria on May 23, 1963?
A: Julie Andrews B: Natalie Wood
C: Grace Kelly D: Audrey Hepburn
Spoiler
Rick ruled out Audrey Hepburn because they dubbed her voice in My Fair Lady so she may not be prone to singing.
Can't see Grace Kelly doing that but could see Julie Andrews or Natalie Wood. Thinks he saw some connection of Natalie Wood to JFK.
Guessed Natalie Wood.

D: Audrey Hepburn

Rick left with $50K

250K: I'd throw my remaining lifelines, ATA & +1 at it, but unless +1 is sure, leave.

Unlike, contestant, I'd heard Audrey Hepburn sing; her demo for "Moon River". I thought it sounded fine for her character in the movie, but obviously Hollywood didn't. But I never heard of her singing for Kennedy.

If I have any lifelines left, which I doubt, I throw all of 'em at this one.

-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller

I'd throw lifelines at this one.
