Should have had more confidence, Charlie. Not to mention that by talking it out you could have prejudiced the audience.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$1000- Erected in 1996, a giant sculpture of a button and needle is an apt landmark of what New York City neighborhood?

Nihil obstat®. I have a feeling that wasting the ATA on the $1K question will come back to haunt Charlie.

But given what he said, I was astonished that 9% of the New York audience chose different answers. Maybe. I've often wondered if there are people who attend a lot of tapings (rather like repeat visits to "Play It!") and may deliberately attempt to durst a contestant they don't like or who doesn't play the game well.

I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

There have been times when we've been prompted to clap and cheer for a contestant's inanities and I've had to fight down the urge to curse, instead, but I have never neglected my sacred duty to vote honestly in the ATA.
At worst, there may have been a time or two when I voted on a hunch, instead of abstaining on a question when I did not really know the answer.
