2K: "despite name for it" a dead giveaway

7K: Honeymooners had far fewer eps. Family too recent. See what 50/50 leaves but I was actually leaning to Burnett.

Number of episodes is definitely the key. Carol Burnett was a weekly show. Those do around 24 shows per season. 4,000 shows would be 166 seasons. It has to be the (near-nightly) Tonight Show.

To Estonut on TV show Q:

Q didn't say "*all* the eps are saved". I'd read somewhere that Carson had refused opportunity to archive his eps, & I'd assumed they were reused as tape for other shows (though maybe the refuser was Parr).

I agree that if these are *all* Carson's 5/week shows (though he got *some* time off) there have to be more than Burnett's weekly shows.

I do agree I blew it. And if I blow it on the couch, I'm not gonna get it on the show.

All or some doesn't matter. They DID say "... more than 4,000 episodes of what classic TV show are stored ...". None of the other shows had anywhere near that many episodes.

To have over 4000 episodes would be a monumental achievement for any weekly show. The Tonight Show was a daily show for over 20 years.
