This is my completely subjective appraisal of the Clintons...based on little more how I have seen them on TV and second-hand evidence from friends who have met them.

Bill is a consummate schmoozer...genuinely likes to talk to all kinds of people.

Hillary? Not so much...especially not to folks in the Rust Belt who might not be immediately inclined to like her. She just isn't a people person, and not all that warm.

So when a quant tells her and her team to campaign in areas where people will automatically like her and she doesn't have to really schmooze...her inclination is going to be to take that advice.

I can see now why the only election she ever won was as a Senator in a hugely liberal state.

I am over halfway through, and the Obama Hagiographic aspects of the book are getting really old as we enter the Democrat convention. The man can do no wrong.

I realize that the "White, Working Class" are the "Soccer Moms" of this election, but I had never seen Massachusetts described as a state full of the "White, Working Class" as it was in the Elizabeth Warren passages.

I thought it was all brainy and collegey and stuff.

With the endless parade of "Hillary would have won without Comey" stuff, the authors take on the server scandal is interesting.

Hillary made the choice (for whatever reasons) to set up her own server. All problems stem from that choice. She failed to see the possible strategic implications of a choice that confirms all the negative stereotypes of the Clinton's. She was haunted throughout the campaign by the negative consequences of a choice she had made.
