feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

According to the information I found the Monthly Mean Avg Temperature for Phoenix Area, AZ for March 2017 was the third highest on record behing 2015 and 2004 and was .2 degrees higher than 1934

I'm in the Tucson area. I didn't realize the location on my profile had my Chicago ZIP code.

The average high for the month of 83.2 degrees was 9.1 degrees above the normal of 74.1 degrees.
