He's today's third contestant, and he seems to be a better contestant than the first two, one of whom walks with an unused lifeline and the other leaves with all his lifelines unused.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Has anyone noticed that I am enjoying the power of being able to watch the show, before going to work? Sadly next week I will probably be too busy with work. And I am going to limit myself to teasers, not spoilers.

This is what people around here don't always get. I'm guessing Michael Kearney is a military brat, based on how often he moved and where he moved to.

Michael, where? I grew up on Kauai.Michael said he was born in Hawaii.
Someone speculated that your family was military (I don't think the brat phrase is a nice one) so I am going to guess Oahu.
I am going to tape Monday's show. Haven't really been doing that lately but make exceptions for people who post here.
