3. Carlton Fisk -- I remember him waving the ball fair, but I don't remember the pitcher. Or the year.

4. Kirk Gibson

5. Bill Mazeroski -- Ralph Terry, 1960. SteelersFan knew this one, I didn't.

6. Bobby Thomson -- Ralph Branca -- ouch, I'll guess 1952.

1. Joe Carter - Mitch Williams - 1993

2. Bucky Fucking Dent - Mike Torrez - 1978

3. Carlton Fisk - - 1975 - Can't remember the pitcher, but the video (film) of Pudge trying to wave the ball fair changed the way baseball (and probably other sports) was/were recorded. They had never focused on a player's reaction before. The cameraman won an Emmy for that shot.

4. Kirk Gibson - Dennis Eckersley - 1988

5. Bill Mazeroski - Whitey Ford - 1961

6. Bobby Thomson - Ralph Branca - 1950

Pffftttt. Pitchers have names? This is going to be ugly. Hmm. Probably against relievers, mostly.

1. Joe Carter
Against Phillies? Curt Schilling?

2. Bucky Dent
Against Red Sox? Luis Tiant?

3. Carlton Fisk
Against the Reds. Rawly Eastwick?

4. Kirk Gibson
Against the A's. Dennis Eckersley?

5. Bill Mazeroski
Don't even know who they played. Nope

6. Bobby Thomson
Against the Dodgers. I should know this. He wore #13, I can see that image in my brain, but there were no names on the jerseys. Nope.

Spoiler
1. Joe Carter

Mitch Williams

2. Bucky Dent

Mike Torrez

3. Carlton Fisk

I remember Bernie Carbo's homer. I remember Fisk directing traffic on this one. I remember hating Fisk at that time, as he was the rival of my favorite player, Thurman Munson. Years later, I remember not hating Fisk so much after he "admonished" that showboat Deion Sanders for disrespecting the Yankee uniform he was wearing. Fisk jumped up a thousand points on my personal "approval chart" that day. I remember all of that.....but not who threw that darn Game 6 pitch.

4. Kirk Gibson

Dennis Eckersley

5. Bill Mazeroski

Ralph Terry

6. Bobby Thomson

Poor Ralph Branca. He could've thrown 30 perfect games and people would still know him primarily for his involvement in the "shot heard 'round the world".

Mr. Vandalsir...

Spoiler
Your restraint on #2 is duly noted and appreciated. And I'll reciprocate by declaring my gratitude and warm fuzzies to Pedro Martinez, who has played a great role in seemingly putting Luis Severino back on the path to becoming a pretty darn good pitcher. Between that and his enjoyable broadcast work, I am forced to rethink my opinion that he was in Satan's starting rotation, and instead he is just one of those guys that you hate if he's on the other team but love if he's your guy.

Live and learn.

I originally planned to also list the pitchers and make this a matching game, but after all of the high scores on the first two games I wanted to make this one a little harder.
