In previous seasons, they broadcast some especially good episodes during sweeps months. This week's have been mediocre at best.

I agree, this is embarrassing. Good thing she had two lifelines to help her. But her +1 thinks WW II ended in some February, so 57% of the audience goes along with the only answer that has a February in it!

This makes me wonder, when you call down your +1 and you still have your ATA lifeline, is there any rule that says you have to communicate out loud? Could the +1 just whisper in the contestant's ear, to avoid influencing the audience? Has anyone ever tried that? I've never seen it, but in most cases, the ATA lifeline is already gone when the +1 lifeline is used.

It might not be a rule, but I bet the producer in the booth might have a "stop tape" moment and insist on it being out loud. Not only does it take out any potential legal issues (I know, there isn't one, but some of the game shows are paranoid about it), but the whispering makes for poor TV.

V-E Day is in May, V-J Day is in August. Both were in 1945.
