NBC Unveils New Schedule

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sun May 14, 2017 9:38 pm

Monday

8:00 - The Voice
10:00 - The Brave (Anne Heche plays a government honcho who directs an undercover Special Ops team who kick butt all over the world)

Tuesday

8:00 - The Voice
9:00 - Superstore
9:30 - The Good Place
10:00 - Chicago Fire

Wednesday

8:00 - The Blacklist
9:00 - Law and Order SVU
10:00 - Chicago Police

Thursday

8:00 - Will & Grace (the original cast returns for 12 episodes)
8:30 - Great News (Tina Fey joins the cast)
9:00 - This is Us
10:00 - Law and Order True Crime - The Menendez Brothers (similar to the FX miniseries about OJ Simpson, it's an eight-episode miniseries covering the arrest and trial. Edie Falco plays defense attorney Leslie Abramson)

Friday

8:00 - Blindspot
9:00 - Taken
10:00 - Dateline NBC

Saturday will be reruns and Sunday will be Sunday night football. Chicago Med and Shades of Blue will return mid-season. No final decision yet on Trial & Error & Chicago Justice.

Other new midseason shows:

Good Girls: Three suburban housewives rob a supermarket with a toy gun then try to figure out how to get away with the money.

Reverie: Sarah Shahi of Person of Interest plays an ex-hostage negotiator turned college professor who tries to rescue people who have gotten lost in a virtual reality game. I'll give this one credit for some originality.

Rise: A non-singing version of Glee. A dedicated teacher (Josh Radnor) takes over a struggling high school theater department.

A.P. Bio: A philosophy professor becomes a high school AP (Advanced Placement) Biology teacher.

Champions: Two charming but shiftless bachelor brothers find their womanizing lifestyle threatened when an ex-girlfriend drops off the teenage son of the older brother. A ripoff of Two and a Half Men.

The Awesome Show: Reality show highlighting "stories of revolutionary scientific and technological advances and will marvel at mankind’s tremendous feats, both now and in the future"

Ellen's Game of Games: People pulled from Ellen DeGeneres' studio audience participate in games and quizzes.
