The culture on the Bored is very much laissez faire in that respect. Moderators pretty much restrict intervention to honest-to-goodness legal issues (and spam, when that used to get through to the Bored). Other than that (and I don't think any legal issues have arisen in the life of the Bored), the community here relies on peer pressure and persuasion. --BobK.P. wrote:Why can't the moderators step in and stop the game? Re: WAIT A MINUTE.... re: Ten! and Intellectual property
If Nelly wants to stick a fork in whatever last shreds of non-negative reputation he may have had with other people on the Bored, who am I to interfere and not allow him to accomplish it? Besides, if I was going buck over a decade and a half of Bored tradition and delete his pastor-like contributions from this meadow muffin message board, I would have certainly done that after he pulled this stunt seven years ago. This isn't the most egregiously despicable thing he's ever done on this forum... it's just the first time everyone else has taken notice and banded together to make perfectly clear that this kind of beyond the pale behavior will no longer be patronized in this here establishment...K.P. wrote:Sure looks like it.jarnon wrote:Good old peer pressure is doing the job just fine.K.P. wrote:Why can't the moderators step in and stop the game? If a game falls in the forest, and nobody bothers to pay any attention to it, does it really make a sound?

I haven't been keeping track, but does anyone know who's currently in the lead in the Pastor's game?

Depends on whether he includes players who have since disavowed the game. I'm in last place (intentionally) with a negative score.silverscreenselect wrote:I haven't been keeping track, but does anyone know who's currently in the lead in the Pastor's game?

It takes a special kind of twisted to continue on with a game he was so obviously in the wrong for appropriating, even though he knows no one will play it.

One day, we'll be watching a Criminal Minds, or L&O SVU episode, and we'll go "Hmmm, that character seems familiar".
