Presidential Challenge Log Thingy

#1 Post by Bixby17 » Fri Oct 26, 2007 7:39 am

With a few exceptions, the switchover to the new MB has obviously effected our PCLT stuff.

56876 points
11 participants. This is the lowest in some time.

Still some month left, so it is not too late to get some October points in, especially before the time of year where people tend to gain the weight that bumps up their yearly total (Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas).

For the month of October, so far, I have logged 3040 points. I've been entering only dance points.

I don't think I can get back into the group without another invitation or such info as the group's name and number.

No other information seems to be lost from my end, though.

My month's point total will jump after this weekend, when I'm going to a two-day Irish dance workshop taught by a former Riverdance cast member. I will be whupped by Sunday night, assuming I'm still upright.

Can I join?

After 2 years of complete inactivity (even hired out mowing the lawn) and 15 years of gaining a pound here a pound there, finally breaking 200, above, below, above, below, however being above now for over 12 straight months I finally did something.

Bally's sent me a card asking me to rejoin. I cancelled my membership about 8 years ago after 10 years of intending to but not using it. They said I could rejoin at my previous rate with no startup fee. So for $98 I am a member for a year.

So, I've started. Slowly, but started. I'll log my stuff wherever when you approve my membership

Yay for BiT--it's been a while since we've had a new member!

Here's the info for BiT, SC, and whoever else is interested

Here's our group number: 5974
Here's our group name: Millionaire B4 Team

Here's the link to join:

It's like the President's Physical Fitness challenge people did as kids. But is more accessible to everyone because it rewards effort over time and not just innate ability.

I strongly suggest starting out on the "Active Lifestyle" section. This encourages you to do 30 minutes of activity, 5 days a week. It doesn't have to be gym work but it has to be some sort of intentional activity. The Active Lifestyle level can help you get in the habit of intentional exercise, and the habit of logging your activity. With the other fitness levels, it is easier to fall off track.
