AKA Bill Dana, he was a TV staple in the late 1950's and early 60's as the dimwitted but good hearted Jimenez, who appeared on Steve Allen, Ed Sullivan, and other variety shows, then had his own sitcom as a hotel bellboy for two seasons (his foil was a pre-Lost in Space Jonathan Harris). Whenever he got flustered, Dana/Jimenez would revert to his catch line, "My name Jose Jimenez." Jimenez was one of the inspirations for Garrett Morris' Chico Esquela on early season of Saturday Night Live. Needless to say, the extremely un-PC Jose Jimenez wouldn't be on network TV today.
Age 92.

Re: RIP Jose Jimenez
He doesn't look anything like the guy who threw a no hitter for the Cardinals in 1999....
