Augmented reality seems to be a very odd thing to hate.

Just (kind of) joking. My Luddite roots are showing. I don't necessarily like the current technology trends, but I can't do anything about them. And some of the stuff is really cool.

OTOH, my true hatred/trepidation (or whatever) is reserved for the self-driving car/truck trend. Gol' dang people that probably don't even like to drive are going to wreck it for those of us that do.

The autonomous car crap is the only thing that has made me say (and think)-I am glad that I am 50, so that I will be able to live most of my life before the total onset of autonomous vehicles.

As you get older you'll need a car that can drive better than you do. :P

Looks like our Jr. High has one of the augmented reality sandboxes. One of the two in the Houston area. One at Hess Corporation, and one at Arnold Jr. High, the Jr. High all my kids went to, and the one my wife worked at in the counselor's office before she moved to her 5th grade teaching position.

This does look way cool. I'm going to have to check it out at the Science Museum in Raleigh.
