RIP Snooty

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sun Jul 23, 2017 5:26 pm

The oldest living manatee in captivity, believed to be the oldest living manatee in the world (manatees don't get along well with boat propellers). Snooty was the first recorded manatee birth under human care and had been on display at a museum in Manatee County since 1949 and was the county's official mascot. When I was in high school, I went on a field trip to the museum and saw a considerably younger Snooty.

I expect one of our MM's to comment on Snooty's passing.

The best way to make this not happen.

We had been snickering all weekend about his Saturday birthday party, which was covered in our Bradenton paper, and was such a big event that one of the people who works on our team there said he was late to work because it prevented him finding parking.

And then we came in to this news today ...
If you fail to pilot your own ship, don't be surprised at what inappropriate port you find yourself docked. - Tom Robbins

At the moment of commitment, the universe conspires to assist you. - attributed to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
