So the Tangredi should be refined to exclude Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda as a partial triple for Mad Miss Manton. Let's say the actor from List A must be the title character.
Stanwyck still works for Mad Miss Manton.... Henry Fonda is Watson in Story of Alexander Graham Bell.

To avoid confusion, let me say that I made a decision to exclude Madame and Monsieur. It's Mr. and Mrs. and Miss only.

A bit of a cheat here. I'm guessing the film is The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Co-stars include Tom Wilkinson and Laura Linney so there are some good matchup possibilities there.

And Campbell Scott, who was Robert Benchley to Jennifer Jason Leigh's Mrs. Parker in Mrs Parker and the Vicious Circle.

Clifton Webb was Mr. Belvedere in three movies, two of which began with the words "Mr. Belvedere," so either of those could be a match for him.

Orson Welles was Mr. Arkadin
Kevin Costner was Mr. Brooks

Robert Mitchum was Mr. Moses with Carroll Baker (Baby Doll).

The puzzle is getting solved fast!

Identify the 80 actors in List A and the 45 movies in List B. (Every other clue is a quotation.) Then, form 87 pairs, each consisting of one actor and one movie, and 3 triples, each consisting of two actors and one movie, according to a Tangredi, or principle you must discover for yourself.

Nine actors will be used twice and two will be used three times.

Twenty-four movies will be used twice, six will be used three times, and three will be used four times.

I am sure alternate answers will pop up. We’ll consider it done when every clue has been legitimately used.

I figured they'd start falling like dominoes once somebody spotted the Tangredi.

One of the partials is incorrect because it really should have been a triple, and the third element just didn't exist. (Believe me, I looked!)

One of the partials is incorrect because it really should have been a triple, and the third element just didn't exist. (Believe me, I looked!)
That has to be The Two Mrs. Carrolls. IMDB doesn't mention any actress playing the first wife.

I infer from Frank's silence that there are no errors in the answers or complete matches.

Since we weren't getting anywhere on these, I admit to a bit of cheating here.
