I'd probably have to use the ATA too. Fleabag I always thought was a description of a person ("He's such a fleabag!") and was leaning toward Roachsack but I've never heard of that word. Looking back, I guess I should have known the $500 answer would be the one word I've heard of and not the three "funny" answers that are similar....

Thanks for sharing! Comforting to know. And wow, I haven’t been here in ages. Figured now might be a good time to post again as any. What’d I miss?

Counting backward, GHW Bush was 41, Reagan was 40, Carter was 39, Ford was 38, so that makes Nixon 37.

I would have gone down too. Even after reading the right answer, I can't imagine Nixon rapping. And as Eugene pointed out, Clinton is closest to the rap era.

Amazing that after 18 years and five hosts, the "Nixon rule" is still valid.

Howdy neighbor!

Fleabag - got it
Samurai & Ninja - obvious
C-3PO's - educated guess, not sure if I would have ATA if in the hotseat. Easy enough from the office chair here, though.
I would have used the ATA on the Twitter question in not used above. Othewise +1.
Umbra - got it, of course (ref. my trip to WY to see the umbra)
I got the President question, but it took me longer to count back from GHWB (41) than it should have. Not sure if I would have under the pressure of the hotseat. Again, easy in my current chair.

As this was a BB, I will play along before program airs in my area

2K: Don't know, but C3PO makes most sense

5K: I know nothing about Twitter beyond their birdie logo & 140 char rule. I guess birdie logo points toward egg. How do you even know its not just an oval?

10K: Focus on who was 37th. Remember JKF 35th? Music is *not* the clue here, but Bill Clinton playing sax is a distractor.

Because ovals don't have a pointy end.

For some reason, whenever I'm counting presidents (other than the very early ones, of course), for as long as I can remember my point of reference has been
Spoiler
Nixon
as the 37th. But it really shouldn't be that hard to count backward from Bush 41 and Bush 43. --Bob

You're making the assumption that EVERYONE knows the Bushes were 41 and 43. They don't.

If I'm writing this question, there's no way I leave out Ronnie Reagan as a distractor given that he was President when rap first burst out into the mainstream...

Also cracks me up that Fleabag and Umbreon appeared as choices in the same stack. Anyone who reads my Shelf Critter Theatre posts on my blog (which would be nobody here) would get why I find that funny. And I only knew C-3P0's existed because I once mocked shitty licensed cereals...

Hell, they don't even know things that happened in their time unless it's on TMZ.

I was told to subscribe.

That's why I posted that it isn't accessible to nonsubscribers.
