Budget shenanigans

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Fri Sep 29, 2017 3:17 pm

According to this Bloomberg story, buried in the fine print of the Senate Budget Committee resolution is language that would end the requirement for a complete CBO score of a bill at least 28 hours before a vote. I seem to remember that Republicans used to be very insistent on not voting on bills without knowing how much they would cost. I'm guessing that Rand Paul, for one, might still adhere to that principle. I wonder whether any other Republicans will. And if they don't, I wonder whether their voters will exact a political price. --Bob

Part of it may have to do with that the alternative is electing the opposing candidate, who is most likely a corrupt, lunatic, extreme leftist democrat. (Unless Jon Ossoff is running). But I am just guessing.

PS, I'm not saying the republicans are any better than the dems. I'm saying WHY do we keep giving this corrupt group of people more power over our lives?? We should be voting for people who want to reduce the scope of the federal government, not increase it. But we never do. When we think we did, they turn into democrats anyway.
