No, it's not a result of some newly found discipline or a tighter leash being kept on him.
But Twitter announced today, after some pilot testing, that it's increasing the allowable length of English tweets from 140 to 280 characters. Longer tweet length = fewer lengthy multi-part tweets (hopefully)
