Are we using couples who were historic couples but not necessarily married in the legal sense?

I am thinking of Rex Harrison's Caesar and Claudette Colbert's Cleopatra.

This should clear a few things up. Rip Torn played Miller in a film called Tropic of Cancer. I thought that the only other historical role Ward played was Gus Grissom, and he and his wife were only featured in The Right Stuff, but I was wrong. Ward played Reagan in a French film called Farewell.

I was going for married couples. The borderline case was Doc Holliday, since I usually see Big Nose Kate listed as his common law wife.

Forget about Cleopatra. She screwed things up every which was I tried to get her and Antony in here.

I just realized that Natalie Portman gives us someone other than Jackie Kennedy, too.

76. “F**kin' Dante! Poetry-writing faggot! Piece of sh*t mother**ker!”

How about BRAD PITT in Se7en?

Gives us 76. BRAD PITT & 13. NANCY KELLY as Mr and Mrs Jesse James.

The Assassination of etc and Jesse James

I am pretty sure we needed a Houdini to go with 83. JANET LEIGH. Turns out, Harvey Keitel played Houdini in A Fairytale.

60. HARVEY KEITEL & 83. JANET LEIGH (Houdini)

Helen Mirren gives us an enormous number of possibilities

We could be looking for

Alfred Hitchock (for her Alma)
DeWolfe Hopper (for her Hedda)
King George (for her Charlotte)
Prince Phillip
Caligula

Could we be looking for someone who made a cameo as Hopper doing Casey at the Bat, say?

Hmmm

turns out we are looking for 55. ROBERT MORLEY, who played George III in Beau Brummell

Second use for Morley

50. PETER FINCH played Lord Horatio Nelson in Bequest to the Nation (with which I was unfamiliar until this moment)

86. GLADYS COOPER played Mrs. Nelson in That Hamilton Woman

So ...

That Frank! He is a clever one.

The only famous couple thing I could think of for Claire Bloom was Hera in Clash of the Titans.

89. RIP TORN voices Zeus in Disney's Hercules.

17. CLAIRE BLOOM & 89. RIP TORN (Hera and Zeus)

Second use of Torn. One more for second use.

I'm not that clever! That was a total accident. I considered using mythological couples, then decided against it. The Claire Bloom character is a perfectly legit historical figure.

:o  :o  :o

Oh for heaven's sake.... I wasn't even thinking.

Bloom plays Anne in Richard III and Basil Rathbone plays Richard in Tower of London.

I believe that leaves us with Mary Steenburgen and someone who's already been used once for our last matchup.

Yep - the second use of Garson was the fifth second use.

Did anyone play Norton Baskin besides Peter Coyote in Cross Creek? Or Melvin Dummar besides Paul Le Mat?

Or am I missing something?

Did we get em all?

And I should have figured that when I noted that Taylor played Churchill, since I thought it odd at the time Frank would pick Taylor, since a number of more prominent actors had played him over the years, but now it makes sense.
