What Are You (Binge) Watching?

#1 Post by Spock » Thu Dec 21, 2017 11:41 am

My viewing plan for winter is:

1)Season 5 of "The Americans"

2) Season 2 of "Fargo"

3) Season 4 of "The Ranch"

4)The latest season of Big Bang

5) Season 5 (I think) of "House of Cards"-I have watched the other seasons-I might as well finish it out.

If time permits, I would like to dig into "Narcos" and "Longmire" on Netflix.

Not sure beyond that.

We usually only binge watch during summer and at Christmas when there's little else on other than the umpteenth airing of Frosty the Snowman.

Right now, we're watching the last season of Longmire (we've followed it all the way through and want the payoff) and the new Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I've got a personal involvement with that since Amazon let me see an advance version of the pilot and got my opinion before the put the pilot online.

I'm also watching Tin Star on Amazon (Tim Roth as an alcoholic Canadian cop taking on an oil company that's willing to kill those who get in their way.)

I loved White Collar. Tiffani Thiessen had/has a cooking show ("Dinner at Tiffani's") on the Cooking Channel. It has been on hiatus since March. She had the guys over for dinner a year or two after WC finished. All but Matt Bomer. Both Tim DeKay and Willie Garson have been on other episodes, but separately. Sharif Atkins was only on the Texas show with the other two guys.

They seem like they had a lot of fun doing that show together.

I find that White Collar has a similar tone - and indeed a similar approach to camera work -- to Leverage. And we just saw Mark Sheppard, so they have that in common as well.

Started watching Centennial with the 2 oldest. It has been 3 or 4 years since we watched it. I got the Spocklette to read Centennial and she is about halfway through.

Every once in awhile, I get her to read one of my books.
