20K: Have to translate km into miles, then seconds into hours. 1st part requires me to remember conversion. 2nd part is multiplication.

Multiplying by 0.6 is a pretty good estimate for converting kilometers to miles. In this case, 11.2*0.6=6.72, which is a smidgen more than 2/3 of 10 miles per second. That means the answer is a smidgen more than 2/3 of 36,000 miles per hour, so the answer ought to be 25,000 mph. --Bob

I wouldn't have to do the math on this one because I already knew escape velocity was 25,000 mph.
