Trump: 66% of Americans feel economy is excellent or good

He's touting the right-leaning Quinnipiac Poll this morning.

He's right in that the poll reports 66% of Americans feel the economy is excellent or good.

But it's obvious he didn't actually read the report.

Because the poll ALSO says the overwhelming majority of Americans attribute that economy to BARACK OBAMA. Not Trump.

AND the percentage of Americans giving Obama credit for the state of the economy has INCREASED since November.

The poll literally says that. Great economy, because of Obama.

The poll ALSO says the majority of Americans rate the Trump presidency as a D or an F. With a 59% disapproval rate.

69% of Americans think Trump is not sane
57% say he's not fit to serve as president
63% say that he is not honest
59% say that he does not have good leadership skills
59% say that he does not care about average Americans
65% believe he does not share their values

Words used by a majority of poll respondents to describe Trump's first year in office include "disaster," "chaotic," "horrible," "terrible," and "embarrassing."

So in your mind there is no improvement unless there are ZERO layoffs? Even if there is a net increase in employment? Businesses change. Positions come and go, in good economies as well as bad.

Net increases in employment were ongoing for the last six or seven years before Trump took office, and we didn't need the tax cut to continue that trend. But what this does show is that, other than a couple of publicity stunt bonuses by companies with major reason to suck up to Trump at the time, the "benefits" of this tax cut aren't going to be going to everyday workers in any meaningful way. Job losses, however, are going to hit everyday workers in a meaningful way.
