Lyrically Speaking - 1/25/18

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Thu Jan 25, 2018 7:03 am

Earl says I have to stick with the classic LSWE schedule, and I always do whatever he..... er, she tells me to do. So it's Theme Thursday, like it or not...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 3 points for the theme...

1. I play along with the charade
There doesn't seem to be a reason to change

2. Well she dances to the Drag, the Cha-cha, Rag and Mop
Stomping to the Shag, rocks the Bunny Hop ooh ooh ooh ooh

3. When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away

4. People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts

5. Yeah, I was just thirteen, you might say I was a
Musical proverbial knee-high

6. She's got stars in her eyes & knobs on her knees now
Her crazy grass shift really sways in the breeze now
Ridin' down a-heavy you're lyin' in the sand
She's the hippest surfer girl in the land

7. A replay of last night's events roll through my mind
Except a scene or two erased by sweet red wine
And I see a truck stop sign ahead so I change lanes
I need a cup of coffee and a couple dollars change

8. And she'll cry just to think I'd really leave her
Tho' time and time I try to tell her so
She just didn't know I would really go.

9. It's my private pleasure
Midnight fantasy
Someone to share my
Wildest dreams with me

10. Well a simple kinda life never did me no harm
A raisin' me a family and workin' on a farm

11. Paintin' walls and sippin' wine
Sleepin' on the floor
With so much love for just two
Soon we found there'd be one more

12. For six long days and weary nights they tried to find her trail
Churchill told the people "Put ev'ry ship a-sail
'Cause somewhere on that ocean I know she's gotta be

Theme?

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that would fit the theme of today's game (It must contain an element of the theme you did not identify above).

Image Bonus: If you know the theme, show me a fitting image.

Meet Ben Dover. He is...well, more likely WAS, an "actor" in what is politely referred to as "adult films". I swear to you I have never heard of him, but I knew I wanted to find someone by that name, and, let's face it, this was too good to pass up.

Then again, I also found THIS guy, whom I suspect never appeared in an "adult film":

Would you believe..."To Sir With Love" - HonoLulu
Well in that case, I'm not sure if the capital has to be in the artist's name or not, but hoping it can be in either the song title or the artist.
If so, we'll go with "Meet Me In St. Louis" - Judy Garland

You can get most of them by right-clicking the image and looking at the URL in its properties. Most of them contain text to help ID them. I don't see Earl helping you with that!
