Republican Congressman is a hazardous job

#1 Post by jarnon » Wed Jan 31, 2018 2:52 pm

I posted last year about Steve Scalise and other Republicans in Congress who were the victims of a shooting attack. Then in November, Rand Paul was attacked by an angry neighbor. Today a train carrying Republican Congressmen and their staff to a retreat hit a trash truck that was on the tracks. The Congressmen and staff weren't seriously injured, though sadly the truck driver perished.

Sad for the family and friends of the truck driver; glad it wasn't much worse.

I know nothing about why the truck was on the tracks.

Here in Boston, the # of drivers honking, screeching & yelling vituperation at me to try to get me to advance onto both railroad train & trolley tracks is very, very large. I guess they feel their advancing 1 car's length (& my car isn't that long, either) in a traffic jam is worth my getting squashed by a train.
