Happy Daylight Saving Time to everyone (outside Arizona and Hawaii). —Bob (who is aware that different countries start it on different dates)

I'd be happier about it if it would start later and finish sooner so I wouldn't have to go back to waking up in the dark.

The way things are now, I just get used to some light when I wake up to no light at all; then by the time November comes, I'm waking up in the dark for a while, then get about a month with waking up in the light again.

Even though I'm in Arizona, I work on Chicago time. That means I start work now at 6 AM instead of 7 AM. :(

Arthur C. Clarke posited in 3001 (not 2001) that eventually there would be no time zones, and we would all just work with GMT (or UTC). So, for example here in the current Pacific time zone, we'd just work from 17:00 to 3:00 GMT (9:00 to 17:00 Pacific).

Just goes to show what an artificial construction time zones actually are.
