Did we ever get an answer for this?

This clue may have been too vague, so I will tell you she turns a current double into a triple.

The way that Frank worded this clue--he said "the actor" in both cases rather than "an actor"--it implies that the actress actually appeared as the mother and the wife in the respective films directly referenced by Frank's clues for those two actors.

As far as I can tell, we need the sixth and final use of Gary Cooper.

59. This British actress has played the mother of the actor in one of the preceding clues and the wife of the actor in another.
Well, this question was too vague to being with. And I just realized that - due to a last minute switch in the order of the clues - I managed to render it unanswerable. So let me clear it up by saying that the two actors involved are Brad Pitt and Donald Sutherland.

DAMMITTOHELL!!!!!! Not only did I screw this up every other way, but even with the actors named, there are two different actresses who fit the clue!

Let me put us all out of our misery here. I was going for BRENDA BLETHYN.

She starred in Saving Grace, giving another triple.

He starred in Sergeant York. Wallace Beery was Sergeant Madden. Beery now appears three times, so Viva Villa! must be an extra. We now have all the matches, but still need to change four doubles to triples. (This may not fit the Tangredi if "Sergeant" is part of the character's name. But I looked through IMDB and can't find any other films for Cooper.)

Good Sam is the only other Gary Cooper title that would theoretically work in this game. I'm not counting The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell because the only film it could possibly match with is The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson, but Andre Braugher is not in this game.

I considered Sergeant part of the character's name, otherwise it would have opened up the game to titles like Mr. ______, etc. Viva Villa is the one I was going for.
