Former Georgia Governor Zell Miller dies at 86

Zell Miller may be the only person to deliver both a Democratic and Republican keynote speech during his career.

But he is also responsible for me having my current job. Miller, while governor, was the driving force in getting the Georgia Lottery Act passed, overcoming substantial resistance from various religious groups to do so. The large conference room in our offices is called the Zell Miller room.
