I found it interesting that Stevens, the daughter and stepdaughter of two judges, was released on her own recognizance, while her two male companions, at least one of whom has a cleaner record than she, had to post bond.

I heard a demonstration of this ShotSpotter technology somewhere. If it indeed does what they claim it can do, it's very impressive.
