Today may be Friday the 13th, but these ten songs are guaranteed to be lucky. Let us continue.

#40. Lost Without Your Love, Bread (1976)

David Gates comes up again... this time, with his group for their final Top 10 pop hit.

#39. Love Takes Time, Orleans (1979)

Here's another notable 1970s pop/rock group. Again, a group is on my list for its final pop hit.

#38. Alive Again, Chicago (1979)

This time, we go to a group for their first hit after the tragic accidental death of one of its members. (The member in question was Terry Kath.)

#37. Here Come Those Tears Again, Jackson Browne (1977)

One of many great songs off of his The Pretender album.

#36. Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now, McFadden & Whitehead (1979)

#35. Paradise by the Dashboard Light, Meat Loaf (1977)

One of three hits from the iconic Bat Out of Hell album. Expect the severed head of Phil Rizzuto in your bed if you spell Meat Loaf as one word.

#34. Southern Nights, Glen Campbell (1977)

The late great rhinestone cowboy topped the Hot 100 for the final time with this classic, penned by R&B legend Allen Toussaint.

#33. Kiss and Say Goodbye, the Manhattans (1976)

#32. Tragedy, the Bee Gees (1979)

It's amazing that we've passed by a bunch of disco songs up to this point without hearing from the Brothers Gibb yet. I promise that there will be more Bee Gees coming up in this series.

#31. Wonderful Tonight, Eric Clapton (1978)

That will do it for now. I'll be back on Thursday for ten more classics. Yes, I will have an early delivery once again. It won't be the result of a church-related journey or a private getaway this time. Next Friday, I will be at LexiCon--a board game and card game convention that takes place annually in Lexington, KY. You can bet that I will be ready to kick some tail in Cards Against Humanity. So long!

"... the baseless self-serving persecution foisted upon the Bored by Beast, Estonut, jarnon, Bob#s, and Weasel [in June]. Nonetheless, my life and this game go on as scheduled. Both my life and this game MUST go on, full speed, in direct defiance of the prejudice. Otherwise, the terrorists win."
