R.I.P. my Iphone

#1 Post by BackInTex » Sun May 06, 2018 7:42 pm

29 hours without a smartphone. Still alive, but confused.

Cleaned out the garage yesterday. In a box of old phone chargers and cables there was one plug that had an USB connection. I threw everything out but that plug. Seemed useful. My phone needed charging so I used it. Plugged it in, then looked at my phone to see if it was charging. The top half of the screen was dark and the lower half was very dim and the icons were pixelated and fading. I unplugged immediately. Too late. Phone went dark. Has stayed that way.

The good news is it was my work phone. I'll get a new one tomorrow, but it will be used, one someone turned in as they left the company. It may be a 6 but won't have the memory mine had as I convinced them to upgrade my memory. If things go well, I will only need it a month or two.

Perhaps your iPhone would have been more forgiving of whatever you did if you'd capitalized its trademark correctly. --Bob

I wouldn't worry too much. What are they going to do, lay you off?

Darn! Got a new IPhone 7. Would've rather been laid off.
