I like the dress

#1 Post by ghostjmf » Sat May 19, 2018 7:49 am

Meghan's, of course. But the neckline is not for me. Well, lotsa necklines are not for me this day with my disasterous skin.

But it "solves" problem for her of "show some skin yet still be modest". Wedding dresses of Famous People these days often have plunging necklines I find unseemly on a wedding dress.

Also, it reportedly "only" cost $40,000.00 instead of the $100,000.00 previously reported, & did not have the gillions of spangles on it as previously reported somewhere. Thank G-d.

It's lovely, but Daily Mail reports it cost 200,000 pounds, around $170,000...
Well, then

I did see something about its simplicity and Carolyn Bessette's $40,000 slip dress back in the day.

I had a hard enough time getting the pictures to load. If I got the price wrong I'm sorry. I'm not buying one, anyway!

I wasn't blown away by the dress, but it was pretty. Her veil was gorgeous. That wayward strand of hair bothered me greatly, mostly because most of my wedding photos are marred by something similar; annoys me every time I look at them that no one said anything or fixed it. The wedding as a whole was very sweet, and seemed more personal, somehow.
