Interesting Predictions on Mueller Investigation

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Mon May 21, 2018 8:30 am

This article was written by Nelson Cunningham, who is President of the McLarty Group, and international trade advisory consulting company (the successor to Henry Kissinger's company). Their clients include Walmart. Cunningham did serve in the Clinton White House and was an advisor to Kerry's presidential campaign, but he was also an assistant U.S. attorney in New York under Rudy Giuliani. I mention his bio to dispel thoughts that he is a rabid partisan on one side of the fence or the other. He has his predictions on Politico this morning on what's happening next in the Mueller investigation. Essentially, three things:

1) The investigation wraps up this summer. (His theory is that Mueller doesn't want to influence the mid-term elections, but, frankly, either ending it with no further major arrests or, on the other hand, with a slew of big names being indicted will be a big factor in the election)

2) Mueller will interview Trump unless Trump pleads the Fifth.

3) Manafort will plead guilty.
