That is funny. I had no idea that baseball was so interesting in 1970.

Of course, as we've established, there's a whole lot of stuff about baseball of which I have no idea.

PiratesFan (aka SteelersFan) is cool to the idea that Ellis threw that no-hitter while tripping. I hope he's right. I don't know enough about LSD or throwing no-hitters to know one way or the other, but I do know that mind-altering substances are dangerous in any situation requiring precision and speeds of 90 or more MPH.

SteelersFan (aka PiratesFan) has come around and admits that Ellis threw the no-hitter while under the influence. It was the number of batters he hit, plus the mascot, that swayed him.
