RIP Alan Bean

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sat May 26, 2018 5:36 pm

One of the last surviving men to have walked on the moon, Bean was on Apollo 12 as well as an earlier flight, Apollo 7 and a space station flight.

Age 83.

Though "Beam" might be a cool name for an astronaut, it was "Bean," as you have in the message body.

RIP, Sir!

I just read that the youngest living person who walked on the Moon is now 82 years old. --Bob

We are now down to five left of the twelve moonwalkers: Buzz Aldrin, Harrison "Jack" Schmitt, David Scott, John Young, and Charles Duke.

Sorry to break this to you, Spiff, but John Young, a fellow Orlando native and Georgia Tech grad, died earlier this year.
