He's the kid from Whiplash.

Didn't realize until I saw him at the end.

He's been in a ton of stuff lately. He is a popular guest on the late night talkshows. I know he was also in "Insurgent" and "Only the Brave."

I realized who he is right when the interview was almost over. The funny thing we'd just seen him as Mr. Fantastic - it just never registered.

The Fantastic Four never registered with a whole lot of people.

He was one of the finalists to play Han Solo as well.

Ironically, the day we say Solo, we also saw a trailer for the new Robin Hood movie with Taron Egerton. In my view, he would have made a much better Han Solo than Alden Ehrenreich, assuming he could come up with a decent American accent. Ehrenreich strikes me as the kind of guy you might see playing Han Solo on a Millennium Falcon ride at Disney World.

He played boxer Vinny Pazienza in the biopic Bleed For This and nailed it.

I should have guessed that you'd be the one!

The mononymous, typically-silent Teller was cleverly stunt-casted in the season finale of "The Big Bang Theory," as Amy Farrah Fowler's henpecked father. He was perfect!

The Big Bang Theory: The 11 Funniest, Sweetest Moments from Sheldon and Amy's Wedding
The author of the TV Guide article linked above wrote:2. Kathy Bates didn't let Teller speak. Kathy Bates and magician Teller guest-starred as Amy's parents. Teller, of course, is famous for never speaking during his act, and his persona got a fun twist in the episode. Every time Mr. Fowler tried to speak, unpleasant Mrs. Fowler cut him off. But it allowed Teller to show off his gift for silent comedy.

7. Teller speaks! Earlier, we talked about how Amy's mother wouldn't let Amy's father speak. But then when Mrs. Fowler started panicking about Sheldon abandoning Amy when the wedding was running behind schedule, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) called her out and said Sheldon loved Amy and would never do anything to hurt her.

"Are you going to let her talk to me like that?" Mrs. Fowler fumed to her husband. "Say something!"

"Thank you!" he stage-whispered. Take my wife, please!

Teller has racked up a number of speaking appearances over the years, so it's not groundbreaking that he broke his silence, but it was still a fun little thread in the episode.
I'm not sure if they still do it at their Vegas shows, but BitD, whenever they performed around here, they always appeared in the lobby afterward, talked to fans and signed autographs. I always got a kick out of talking to Teller.

There was an HBO movie from the 1980's called Long Gone, based on a novel by Paul Hemphill, in which Teller appeared in a sizable speaking role. The film was about bottom-of-the-barrel minor league baseball in Florida in the 1950's, starring William Petersen as the past-his-prime player and Virginia Madsen as the love interest. Henry Gibson and Teller were the father and son who owned the team. The movie was sort of a minor league precursor to Major League and quite good, if (and this is a big if) you can find a copy anywhere (I don't think it ever game out of DVD).

Yes, they do.
