3 hours early. Its me; one of the alternatives would have been 1/2 an hour late. Works for some stuff I go to, but not for a wedding.
They meant it when they said "parking is limited". I'm glad *they're* philosophical about it. And that the party I am almost parking in *is* probably there for the wedding too (the sign *does* say "closed for event").
Lovely place. I should explore the grounds. After I sit a while with my Wedding Diet Coke.

I'm always early, too. Sometimes a good thing, sometimes not.
Well, then

Google maps, which was wrong about mileage, said it was 125 miles (its 133). They were not wrong about route.
I don't want a GPS to route me; I just want one that shouts out the names of all the side streets. Especially when its dark. Have to find one that's programmable for *that*
The people I had parked in needed to go home for something. Glad I was findable. Now *I* can be parked in..

They did have an open bar. Later had an Angry Orchard hard cider. That's about my speed for drinking under any circumstance. But especially when I'm driving 133 miles home a few hours later.

Stack parking with no valet service? --Bobghostjmf wrote:The people I had parked in needed to go home for something. Glad I was findable. Now *I* can be parked in..

Valet? This was an outdoor wedding at a place built by an eccentric person in the 40s. The parking lot held maybe 12 cars, including park-ins. They were (with police permission) parking along the road after the lot filled.
