Sportsball 6-28-18

#1 Post by elwoodblues » Thu Jun 28, 2018 2:48 pm

Today we have sports movies. For two points each tell me the name of the movie I am describing. One of them is a sequel, and you will need the name of the right movie in that series to get credit.

The 6/27 game will stay open until 7:15pm Central.

1. (1986) A Midwestern high school basketball coach leads his team to an unlikely state championship.

2. (1974) A former quarterback goes to prison and leads a team of inmates in a game against the guards.

3. (1985) An American boxer fights a Russian who had killed his friend and former rival in the ring.

4. (1980) “Gambling is illegal at Bushwood, sir,” but the country club becomes the scene of a high stakes golf match.

Two-point conversion: For two points each, for #2 who played the quarterback in the original, and who played him in the 2005 remake?

I hope your wife is continuing to mend, elwood. Russ Hodges threw me for such a loop yesterday that I forgot to wish you both well before I submitted my answers.

This was another game that was too easy, but I don't think that will be the case Friday.
