Now that's timing (baseball)

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Tue Jul 24, 2018 10:42 am

This morning, each team announced the winner of its Heart and Hustle Award. Winning the award for the Yankees was Austin Romine, their backup catcher. In light of the game their starting catcher, Gary Sanchez, had yesterday, the timing could not have been better. --Bob

Sanchez is now on the DL, having reportedly reaggravated the right groin injury that landed him on the DL earlier in the season. --Bob

I believe the technical term for his injury is "hurt feelings and acute embarrassment."

Won't help with that. If he wasn't healthy enough to run, he should have let the coaching staff know and he shouldn't have been on the field. --Bob
