From the tweet deck:
Wow, ratings for “Morning Joe,” which were really bad in the first place, just “tanked” with the release of the Mueller Report. Likewise, other shows on MSNBC and CNN have gone down by as much as 50%. Just shows, Fake News never wins!

Also interesting:

"...Lastly, the State’s Attorney has claimed this arrangement is “available to all defendants” and “not a new or unusual practice.” There has even been an implication it was done in accordance with a statutory diversion program. These statements are plainly misleading and inaccurate. This action was highly unusual, not a statutory diversion program, and not in accordance with well accepted practices of State’s Attorney initiated diversionary programs. The IPBA supports diversion programs, and recognizes the many benefits they provide to the community, the defendant and to the prosecuting agency. Central to any diversion program, however, is that the defendant must accept responsibility. To be clear here, this simply was not a deferred prosecution.

Prosecutors must be held to the highest standard of legal ethics in the pursuit of justice. The actions of the Cook County State’s Attorney have fallen woefully short of this expectation. Through the repeated misleading and deceptive statements to the public on Illinois law and circumstances surrounding the Smollett dismissal, the State’s Attorney has failed in her most fundamental ethical obligations to the public. The IPBA condemns these actions."

Fourfer today:

“My father is German, right? Was German. Born in a very wonderful place in Germany.” (Fred Trump was born in New York.)

“I hope they now go and take a look at the oranges of the investigation.”

“Someone’s going to leak this whole damn speech to the media.” (The speech was broadcast live on C-SPAN.)

“If you have a windmill anywhere near your house, congratulations, your house just went down 75% in value. And they say the noise causes cancer. (Whirr! Whirr!) And of course it’s like a graveyard for birds.” (He’s hated windmills for decades. He thinks they’re bad for the environment because they kill birds.)

Either it’s early dementia, or he knowingly slips up so his opponents will misunderestimate him.

Um, they DO kill birds. Not just your average sparrows but large and endangered ones, like California Condors. And eagles, and buzzards.
Wind turbines are killing condors
At Altamont Pass, where nearly 7,000 prop wind turbines choke the landscape, over 1,000 birds of prey die each year. One of the most commonly killed species at the Altamont pass wind farm is the turkey vulture. This is well documented.
No one in their right mind would want their views spoiled by these ugly ass devices.

Not just Trump against wind farms in the backyard
U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy's primary residence is in Hyannisport, Mass., on the Kennedy family compound. It's one of the closest landfalls -- about 6 miles -- from the proposed site of the 440-feet turbines, which would be visible from his house as well as other surrounding coastlines.

Since 2001, there have been various legislative attempts to quash the project in Washington, many of which could be tied one way or another to the Democratic Bay State senator.

As the battle moves into its final permitting phase, Gordon said he holds on to hope that Kennedy -- typically known as an environmental advocate -- will alter his position.

Quit being a prick about things that Trump is right on so when you are a prick it has some credibility.

Wind farms are hardly the bird slayers they're made out to be—here's why
Newsweek wrote: There is no evidence that the noise of a wind turbine causes cancer. Anti-wind power groups have incorrectly claimed that the low-frequency noise — known as infrasound — given off by turbines can cause health problems including nausea, sleep loss and anxiety, among many other symptoms, The Atlantic explained.

No research has ever shown harm from such low frequencies, and no cancer of any kind has a proven link to high levels of noise. Chemicals and particulates released in the extraction, storage, transportation and burning of coal and other fossil fuels, in comparison, have been proven to cause higher rates of cancer.
Apparently, according to BiT, the vast majority of this nation's scientists are pricks because they keep pointing out things that Trump is completely wrong about.

And solar panels, batteries in electric cars, etc. contain metals that are as dangerous to mine as coal and toxic when they’re disposed of. As long as humans use energy, there will be tradeoffs. Conservation (fuel efficient vehicles and appliances, insulation and LED bulbs) is probably the least damaging.

What is not given in the summary (and I'm not paying $19.95 for the full report) is how they determine the number and type of birds killed by each form of generation. I'd be interested to see for gas fired generation how and what kinds of birds are being killed. Also I'd like the separation of coal from natural gas, natural gas being the cleanest fossil fuel, most economic and available energy resource we have in the USA.

If natural gas fired plants are killing grackles in high numbers, who cares? They are a menace. I suspect by grouping coal in with natural gas you get the higher numbers because of coals environmental impacts (loss of habitat from mining and pollutants from burning).

An interesting note from the article. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds operates a large sanctuary called The Lodge, which is home to numerous species of wild birds. And how does The Lodge get its power?
In 2016 we built a wind turbine on a field adjacent to our headquarters at The Lodge near Sandy, Bedfordshire. It is found in Sandy Ridge, a field south of the B1042 Potton Road and east of the RSPB's Gatehouse shop. Siting the turbine close by means The Lodge receives energy directly from the turbine making it the most efficient location. Wind speed data suggested the turbine should produce 1.85 million kWh per annum, which is enough to power the equivalent of approximately 450 medium-sized homes.

At our current rate of consumption, this means the turbine should generate the equivalent of over half of the RSPB's total UK electricity needs across 127 sites, ranging from single person offices to our UK HQ. The wind turbine is predicted to reduce UK carbon emissions by around 600 tonnes of CO2 every year. It is expected to directly reduce RSPB The Lodge’s carbon emissions from energy usage by up to 63 per cent.

Wind turbines will typically ‘pay back’ the energy used during the manufacturing process in less than 8 months.

The wind turbine is 100 metres at its highest point, with a rotor diameter of 53 metres. In severe storms, when winds reach a speed of 25 m/s or more, the turbine will automatically shut down due to health and safety requirements set by the turbine manufacturers.

Ecotricity, in partnership with the RSPB, conducted assessments over three years on all aspects of the wind turbine proposal and how it could affect the surrounding area. We completed sufficient research to confirm that Sandy Ridge is a suitable site for a single wind turbine.
