How about John Lindsay, former mayor of NYC? We have a Lindsay on the board at #93.

I have a bunch of partials

I don't know whether to post them - and add in the Gale Gordon/Dorothy Sayers et al - to see if we can collectively complete some of these.

Yeah, I find myself finding matches like this one, too, but I think we need to revisit Frank's comments after the first few matches. To paraphrase: there's one name out of the three which is the "Middle name," in other words, it gets assimilated. So whoever the middle name is has their first name used twice, once each as a first and last name, and their last name similarly used twice. That doesn't work for this match, so it must not be valid.

Proposal: We change George Kelly out for George Marshall. We don't even have to change the Associated Word for the one match affected! Current chief of staff John Kelly instead becomes former Chief Justice John Marshall.

Reason is I'm betting the person associated with the word makeover is Clinton Kelly.

And George Clinton could match with funk. Unfortunately, that means Bill Clinton is the middle name which means we're going to have to find someone with the surname Bill. Not too easy.

That's not true! George Kelly could be the middle name in this scenario, and we only use ol' horny Bill twice.

So 1. Bill Clinton, 36. George Kelly, and someone make

LL Clinton Kelly (makeover)
FL George Clinton (funk)
FL Kelly --------
FF ----------- George

Maybe?

Updated consolidation…

Identify the 105 people in the clues below. Match them into 35 groups of three according to a Tangredi, or principle you must discover for yourself. Then, match each threesome with FOUR of the Associated Words.

That means Larry David needs a different associated word. How about Standup?
Or Jerry, as in Seinfeld. Good work, Jarnon. The first partial up there may be a little suspect, because Frank is so good at maintaining the name a person is known by, so Tom Anderson wouldn't match Tommy John. Plus I think Melly already got a match that had the George Dewey Manila thing in there, didn't she?
